The new Leica M-A is an analog addition to the Leica M family. This fully mechanical body works without a battery, and does not have a built-in light meter, bringing photographers back to the basics of photography (focus, aperture and shutter speed). The Leica M-A is an enclosed all metal body with chromed brass top and bottom covers, and is available in chrome or black finish. Available in October 2014, retail is expected to be $4,750.

The technical features of the silver anodized version of the Leica Summilux-M 35 mm/f1.4 ASPH and the Leica Noctilux-M 50 mm/f0.95 are identical to that of the black lenses. For the first time, the weight of the silver anodized lenses is identical to the equivalent black lenses.
